The brand that was once a symbol of American luxury has now become an Indian luxury brand.
The company, whose names are synonymous with Indian style, has rebranded to become a luxury brand in India, a move that comes as the brand has lost a few key clients in the past.
Macy’s, the largest and most profitable company in India in terms of sales, has announced that it will open a new flagship store in New Delhi and a second store in Mumbai.
In a statement, it said that it had re-opened its Mumbai store, which was closed due to “recent changes in the retail industry.”
The Mumbai store was shuttered due to changes in retail industry, the company said.
Macy has been a fixture in India for over a decade.
Its iconic brands include Chanel, Mies, Hugo Boss and Louis Vuitton, but it also owns luxury brands such as Louis Vuichten, Prada and Balenciaga.
Mies has had its luxury brands go through some major changes, including the departure of its chief designer, Pierre Dali, from the brand in 2010.
Macy said that its brand has not been impacted by any new developments in the Indian market.
“The global luxury market is growing, but in India we are still very small compared to other markets.
The company said that the decision to open a flagship store was made to make sure that it has enough inventory in India to cater to the changing needs of its customers. “
We are taking our time in order to better understand our customer base and identify the best ways to improve,” the statement added.

According to a report by India Today, the number of malls that Mys has opened in India has increased by over 30 percent in the last two years.
However, the decision has not stopped Mys from expanding its store footprint.
“The new Mumbai store is part of a strategy to grow the brand globally and in India,” Mys spokesperson said in a statement.
In March, Mys had said that in the next two years, it plans to open 50 stores, including new stores in India and abroad.
The move is part the brand’s attempt to expand its footprint in India.
It has also rebranded several of its flagship brands in the country, including Chanel and Hugo Boss.
Mys, which is currently based in India’s southern state of Kerala, has had several successful launches in India over the last few years.
Mys has also launched a brand-new clothing line, Mitzi.
